Dr. Anna Todd, MD, PhD, FRCSC

Specializing in Breast & Body Procedures, General Plastic Surgery and Gender Affirming Surgery

Honesty, Compassion, Experience

“Plastic surgery is such a creative field, and can have such a profound impact. I never find myself looking at the clock when I am working.”

Dr. Anna Todd is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC) with sub-specialty training in breast surgery, joining Dr. Hall-Findlay in practice at Banff Plastic Surgery.

Education and Experience

Dr. Todd was born and raised in Whitehorse, Yukon. In 2002, she moved to New Jersey to complete her undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology at Princeton University. Thereafter, she returned to Canada and completed a joint MD-PhD degree at the University of Calgary. Her PhD research was in Cardiac MRI at the Stephenson Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Centre, examining the effects of metabolic disease on the heart. After medical school, she was accepted into the Plastic Surgery residency program at the University of Calgary. During residency in Calgary she also had her two children. After residency, she went on to pursue additional sub-specialty training in breast surgery, with a fellowship at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto. Her specific focus was on breast reconstruction and microsurgery while at Sunnybrook, and was exposed to a very busy, large volume practice at this renowned breast centre. She also gained experience in gender affirming surgery at the Maclean Centre while she worked in Toronto.

“I am incredibly lucky to be working alongside Dr Hall-Findlay, who has made a career of improving and refining her work. Our practice styles complement each other, and I get to keep learning from a master in the field.”
